Wedding Cupcakes

There was no doubt I was having cupcakes for my wedding. I also wanted a cake for the cutting moment and the traditional save the cake for the one year anniversary. I have favorite bakeries all over the city. However, I knew I was entrusting this special request to my old friend Ninah from Bakeries Most Wanted. She makes the best and cutest of every dessert out there, especially her macarons!! My guests absolutely loved the cupcakes. I wanted to add a little pizzazz to decorating my pretty treats. I saw on Pinterest cupcakes in teacups. I thought how cute but how do I keep this affordable. I needed 80 cupcakes total and I knew I couldn’t put 80 teacups on this cupcake stand. I figured I would get 30 teacups and a mixture of liners. I hunted around for a month or so looking in boutiques and thrift stores and found teacups for 20- 40 cents each and went to Michaels for crafty cupcake liners.

Overall, I kept my dessert budget at $400 for a very large cake (top half in the freezer) and 80 cupcakes in a variety of flavors.
